Estate Sale Setup Team Member

Tangerine Zebra is looking for an Estate Sale Setup Team Member to help turn a home full of belongings into an organized, welcoming estate sale.

You'll often be one of the first team members at a home. You'll work through closets, cabinets, basements, garages, and other spaces to uncover and organize items for the sale. You'll help clear clutter, move and arrange merchandise, set up tables and displays, and get everything ready to be priced and sold.

This is an active, hands-on job. Every home is different, and you'll need to be comfortable walking into a space, figuring out what needs to be done, and getting to work.

Just as important, you'll be working in our clients' homes. We expect every team member to treat each home, its belongings, and the people we work with respectfully and professionally.

Many of the families we serve are going through a significant life transition, and the way we treat their homes and belongings matters.

What You'll Do

• Help prepare homes for estate sales by moving, sorting, and organizing merchandise

• Go through closets, cabinets, basements, garages, and other areas to locate items for sale

• Clear clutter and bring merchandise into designated areas for sorting and pricing

• Move furniture, boxes, household goods, and other merchandise

• Set up tables, displays, and merchandise throughout the sale

• Organize items so they are easy for shoppers to see and browse

• Work efficiently in homes and environments that are constantly changing

• Communicate with team members about items, spaces, and anything that needs attention

• Follow direction while also taking initiative when you see something that needs to be done

• Help the team complete setup projects quickly and keep the sale on schedule

• Interact respectfully and professionally with clients and customers

• Help with other estate sale tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and dependable with strong attendance

• Comfortable doing physical, hands-on work for extended periods

• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and regularly bend, reach, stand, walk, and move items

• Comfortable working in basements, garages, closets, storage areas, and other parts of a home

• Respectful of people's homes, belongings, privacy, and personal circumstances

• Able to take direction and work well as part of a team

• Self-motivated and able to see what needs to be done without waiting to be asked

• Able to work quickly while still being careful with clients' belongings

• Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment

• Positive, helpful attitude and professional customer interaction

• Willing to travel to different estate sale locations throughout our service area

• Reliable transportation to and from sale locations

Previous experience in estate sale, moving, retail, warehouse, merchandising, or similar roles is helpful but not required. We're looking for someone dependable, respectful, willing to work hard, and ready to jump in and help.

Schedule: Part-time, primarily weekday, daytime hours. Scheduling is flexible based on the timing and location of our estate sales.

Travel: This position requires travel to estate sale locations throughout our service area.
