Retail sales: Onsite Estate Sale Team Member

 Part-time | Primarily Ames & Des Moines Metro | Friday & Saturday

Do you love shopping, finding unique treasures, and helping people discover a great deal? If you get excited about antiques, vintage finds, home décor, collectibles, and the thrill of the hunt, you might be a great fit for Tangerine Zebra.

Our Estate Sale Team Members are the friendly faces of our sales. You'll help shoppers have a great experience while helping our clients find new homes for the things they've collected and cared for throughout their lives.

We take our work seriously. We know that an estate sale often happens during a significant or emotional transition for a family. Our job is to make the process easier for our clients while creating a fun, welcoming experience for the people who come through our sales.

It's retail, but it's also work that matters.

What You'll Do

  • Answer questions and help shoppers find items

  • Merchandise and organize items to make the sale inviting and easy to shop

  • Operate our point-of-sale system and process transactions

  • Help keep the sale organized, clean, and running smoothly

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of sales

  • Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Represent Tangerine Zebra with a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude

You'll be a great fit if you:

Enjoy working with people and have great customer service skills

  • Have a positive, helpful attitude

  • Are dependable and comfortable working as part of a small team

  • Can stay calm and flexible when things get busy

  • Excited to work around a wide variety of household goods, antiques, collectibles, and other items

  • Can lift up to 30 pounds

  • Are willing to work hard and pitch in wherever needed

Schedule: Part-time, with Friday and Saturday availability required and occasionally Sundays. Hours will vary based on the timing and location of our estate sales.

Travel: This position requires travel to estate sale locations throughout our service area.
